New Hanover County Private Road Certificates

At the December 3, 2009 New Hanover County Planning Board meeting, the Board will consider a request by staff to add two new Private Road Certificates to article VII of the County Subdivision Ordinance requiring developers to disclose road maintenance responsibilities and requiring Professional Engineers to certify that the roads have been constructed to minimum NCDOT specifications. The County’s TRC recommended approval of both certificates by a vote of 5-0. Click below to view the certificates in their entirety.
