2009 Lower Cape Fear Stewardship Development Award Winners

The 5th Annual Lower Cape Fear Stewardship Development Award Program Awards Banquet was held on Thursday, November 19 to recognize the 2009 recipients.

The Outstanding Stewardship Award (highest honor) was presented to Lower Cape Fear Hospice for their new administration building and the Bald Head Island Ferry Terminal.   The Significant Achievement Award (secondary level) was presented to the City of Wilmington Street Sweeper Complex, Masonboro Lodge, and Brunswick Forest.  A “Special Recognition” award was presented to the Fortuna residence for their green roof, the Butler residence for the numerous green building elements in their new home, to Brunswick Nature Park for natural area preservation, and to Ridgefield for innovative site planning incorporating low impact development techniques.
