Brunswick County Development Improvement Efforts

Brunswick County is continuing efforts to improve the project approval process while preserving the quality of life that is so important to the vitality of the community. The Board of Commissioners adopted comprehensive revisions to the Unified Development Ordnance in March that provide considerable  flexibility to meet project needs, as well as incentives to encourage exceptional design. The permitting system has been upgraded to fully automate online applications and provide the status of projects.  Revised flood maps are in review by the State and will move to the local approval process in the near future.
