Wilmington Draft Comprehensive Annexation Policy PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 16 February 2010 09:13

City of Wilmington staff is working to develop a draft comprehensive annexation policy for Council's future consideration.

The policy's intent would be to:

  • Establish guidelines for future annexation decisions
  • Propose a process to inform residents and property owners of future annexations
  • Establish a procedure for future annexations to be considered by the city on a two-year cycle

This draft document does not prioritize any specific areas for potential future annexations. City Council has not taken any action on this proposed policy, nor are they considering any future annexations at this time.
