Coastal Homeowners Insurance Briefing

On February 22nd at The Balcony on Dock the Business Alliance for a Sound Economy (BASE) will host the new General Manager of NCIUA/NCJUA, Ms. Gina Schwitzgebel to provide a Coastal perspective of North Carolina’s BEACH Plan.  Joining Ms. Schwitzgebel at the presentation will be the new Director of Claims, Mr. Bob Eades and the Director of Finance, Alvin Ashworth.

This event would be ideal for residential and commercial developers, builders, realtors, homeowners, insurance agents, engineers, attorneys, bankers, local government representatives, as well as elected officials.

Ms. Schwitzgebel, who most recently served in the role of Assistant Vice President at Builders Mutual Insurance, will be discussing her new role at the NCIUA/NCJUA including her responsibilities as the new General Manager and her goals and objectives to provide excellent service to customers insured by the North Carolina Beach Plan.  Ms. Schwitzegebel will also discuss the overall finances of the BEACH Plan and the issue of reinsurance and what potential challenges, opportunities and changes may lie ahead particularly in light of the 2009 state legislation on homeowners insurance (HB1305).
